In such a situation, the transport minister was constantly working to reduce the fine amount. After approval from Law Department, Transport Department had sent its proposal to CM Ashok Gehlot. Approving it, CM Gehlot has reduced the penalty amount while presenting the budget on Wednesday. After the announcement of CM, the Transport Department has also issued a notification regarding this.
How much penalty for what mistake
On two-wheeler and three-wheelers of normal offense – 100 and 200 rupees, just for traveling without tickets – 100 rupees
On exceeding capacity of the bus – 200 rupees per passenger
Rs. 1000 on driving without seat belt vehicle
Children under 14 years of age, without driving belts – Rs 500
Rs 100 for more than two riders found on a two-wheeler
Ambulance for not giving side – Rs 1000
Unnecessarily playing horn – Rs 500
For playing horn in a restricted area – Rs 1000
Rs.5000 on car, Rs.2000 on two-wheeler and three-wheeler, Rs.10000 on heavy vehicles for violation of permit conditions.
On driving without helmet – Rs 1000
Rs 5000 per tonne on vehicle overload
On driving at high speed – Rs 1000
2000 on heavy vehicle – Rs.
For refusal to give the information sought – Rs 1000
500 to 1000 rupees if the driver is found to be mentally and physically unfit
On granting permission to drive an unauthorized person – Rs 5000
In case of disregard of duty by the conductor – Rs 500
