Along with Bhopal, rain started in other districts of the state from morning to morning. The rain brought down the weather. However, this rain only happened for a short time. But due to this rain, the crops harvested in the fields are surely suffering heavy losses.

The Meteorological Department says that due to the increased humidity in the atmosphere due to the system created in Madhya Pradesh, clouds will start again and on Tuesday, there are chances of thunderstorm and rain in some districts of the state including the capital. The maximum temperature of the capital was recorded at 35.0 degree Celsius on Sunday. It was one degree below normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 18.6 degrees. The meteorological department said that a western disturbance is present in Jammu and Kashmir. In addition, a strong Western Disturbance is also active near North India. Due to the upper air cyclone over Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, there is a continuation of moisture from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea on a large scale. Today in Rewa, Bhopal, Hoshangabad and Shahdol divisions, there is a possibility of thunderstorms in Indore, Ujjain, Dhar, Barwani, Khandwa, Khargone, Burhanpur, Dewas, Sehore and Raisen districts. The weather is expected to clear from Wednesday.
Purchase process forced to stop
At the same time, rains and hailstorms occurred again in 20 districts of the state including Indore-Ujjain division. Due to this, the harvested crop in the field and barn became wet, which will take time to dry. In view of this, the government has again stopped the procurement process. However, the government had made several arrangements to buy wheat. Along with arranging the gunny bags, a safe weighing system was also made under the Corona Guideline. But weather and increasing cases of corona forced the government to stop the procurement process.
Grain purchase postponed
In view of rain and hailstorm, the purchase of gram, lentil and mustard to be held on Monday at the minimum support price has been postponed. Purchase will be started as soon as the weather improves. This was stated by Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel during a dialogue with farmers on Sunday. At the same time, he has asked farmers to sell their produce only on the support price. The state government has stopped the wheat procurement process in Indore and Ujjain divisions. The government will announce the new date for starting it later. The purchase was to begin from 22 March. Wheat purchase date has been extended for the second time. Earlier, the government had prepared to start the procurement from March 15, but on March 12, due to the sudden weather disturbance and strong wind, rain, hailstorm, the government had to make the date March 22.
