Haryana Budget Session: As Deputy Minister of Food and Supplies, Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala announced this in the Assembly.
Deputy CM told the House that Haryana is the first state in the country, where ration card holders will be provided ration at their doorstep through mobile depot. This process has been started as an experiment in Faridabad. He claimed to increase transparency in ration distribution through ration depots. E-weighing machines have been installed in ration depots for weighing ration in seven districts. The process of planting in Faridabad and Gurugram district is also going on.
Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala said that under the central government’s ‘One Nation, One Ration’ scheme, one crore 22 lakh beneficiaries taking ration in the state have been linked to the Aadhaar number. If a person goes to the ration depot to get ration then the first Aadhaar number will be put on the machine. After that the ration of the person concerned will be displayed on the screen. Ration will be given after biometric verification.
