Jharkhand Aandolankari: The agitators say that during the Jharkhand agitation, not only were the jails going to the agitators, but they were also the agitators who gave the agitation outside the jail.
Opposing the system of identification of the Jharkhand agitators by BDO and government officials, the Morcha has warned that if their demands are not heeded, they will also overthrow the government.
A large number of mobilized agitators chanted that if the process of selection of Jharkhand agitators did not change, they would make a vigorous agitation. Relatives of Jharkhand agitator Late Teklal Mahato and Shivlal Mahato, who had contested the Lok Sabha elections from Hazaribagh, said that the only people who went to jail were not Jharkhand agitators. At the time of the movement, there were agitators ranging from wall writing, singing the song, making people aware, and writing articles in the newspaper.
Among those agitating for a separate state of Jharkhand, the government is giving pension to those who have been jailed for at least three months during that time. A provision has been made to provide a pension of Rs 5000 per month to the agitators who have been in jail for more than six months. At the same time, there is a provision of giving a pension of Rs 3000 per month to the agitators who are in jail for less than six months and more than three months. Jharkhand agitators are protesting this arrangement of the government as an insult to the agitators.
