According to JMM sources, Mamata Banerjee has spoken to Hemant Soren and sought support. After this, there is a possibility of JMM not contesting the Bengal elections.
Significantly, on the appeal of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given the assurance to consider. According to JMM sources, the Chief Minister of West Bengal had talked to Hemant Soren on this matter. Meanwhile, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is clearly in favor of Mamata Banerjee and party chief Sharad Pawar was also scheduled to meet Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday, but he could not be met.
However, the JMM has not yet officially announced its support to the Trinamool Congress. As political agitation increases in West Bengal, efforts are being made to negotiate in the surrounding states where non-BJP parties are ruling. According to JMM sources, Mamta Banerjee has talked to Hemant Soren. The JMM has not yet reached the final conclusion. The JMM will announce only after the final decision.
Earlier, Hemant Soren, who had announced to contest elections in several seats in West Bengal, also held a rally in Jhargram. There is a possibility that Hemant should support Mamata in the midst of political agitation over the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal.
