More than 100 women railwaymen will take charge of Ranchi station for the first time on International Women’s Day

Ranchi On the International Women’s Day, tomorrow, the Railways has announced the task of running Ranchi Station for the first time to the women railway personnel. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by DRM Neeraj Ambastha on Saturday. This is going to be the first time. In this, women will be put on duty at all the places from the train operation to the ticket counter, security, cleaning personnel, ticket checking at the station. Currently, there are 650 women railwaymen working in Ranchi Rail Division. This step has been taken to boost their morale.

On March 8, more than one hundred women will be put on duty at Ranchi railway station. For the first time, the station manager will be made a woman, who will see the entire management. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a special women voter camp will be organized at 2771 booths in Ranchi on Monday. The district administration has appealed to the women to go to their booth at the scheduled time along with Form-8 evidence to purify the inaccuracy in Form 6, name, age, photo etc. to add their name to the voter list. At the same time, women workers will fully handle Ranchi railway station on this occasion.

It is worth noting that on March 8, the operation of the train between Ranchi-Lohardaga will also be in the hands of women. From the train driver to the guards and TT, the security personnel in the train will also be women. For this, the DRM has issued an order.
