At the Election Commission meeting, representatives of political parties said that if the panchayat elections were not held yet, then the panchayat elections would not be possible during the rainy season. Because MP board examinations are to be held from April 30 to May 18 and CBSE board examinations from May 4 to June 12. Municipal body elections can be held even on rainy days.
What did the commission say?
On the side of the representatives of political parties, the State Election Commissioner said that a lot of action regarding the panchayat elections is pending at the government level. Panchayat elections can be considered only in the event of completion of this action in the next 15 to 20 days. If this is not done then elections of urban bodies will be held first.
Elections will be held from EVM only
In the meeting, the Congress spoke of getting the ballot election. On this, the State Election Commissioner made it clear that elections will be conducted only through EVM. On giving information about the errors in the voter list by members of political parties, the State Election Commissioner said that all complaints are being resolved.
