Pakur News: While neutralizing 56 hundred explosives simultaneously, a smoldering smoke blew skyward. Seeing Gubar, the nearby villagers were stunned.
According to the information, explosive substances were neutralized at a deserted place on the banks of Bansloi river of Jharkhand Jaguar bombing squad from Ranchi. The neutralized explosive substances included 5600 pieces of gelatin. They were recovered by Maheshpur Police on 30 August 2020 from a Maruti van near Silampur village. There were 14 bags loaded with gelatin in the van.
While neutralizing these explosives on Saturday, a plume of smoke blew skyward. Seeing Gubar, the surrounding villagers were stunned at first, but felt relieved after being aware of the situation. Apart from Krishna Toppo, Anil Kumar, Ravi Ranjan Kumar, Thanaprabhari Dinesh Prasad Chaurasia, JSI Brajkishore Singh, ASI Anil Kumar Singh were included in the bomb disposal squad.
According to the police, these explosives were being brought to Maheshpur from Pakuria via Bengal. They were intended to be used in stone quarries or destructive work. But the police, acting on secret information, seized the explosives. The police had registered a case against the van owner and the driver in this regard.
