Panipat: Charged of holding children hostage for 3 hours for not depositing school fees, dropped after parental uproar

Panipat. Private school operators in Panipat district have now come down to hooliganism for recovery of annual fees and transportation fees. We are not saying this, rather the parents have alleged this. It is alleged that due to non-submission of annual fees and transportation fees, the school management took the starving and thirsty children hostage. When the children did not reach home on time, the parents were worried. When they reached school, they came to know about this action.

The case is related to DAV Sanitary School located in Chulakana Road, Samalkha, where the concerned parents reached the school due to the children not reaching home on time. It was found here that the children have been held hostage for the annual fees and transportation fees. After that the guardian informed the rest of the parents and called the parents of all the children on the spot. Then the children were freed from the school management. Parents say that the school management kept the children imprisoned for about 3 hours, while they have deposited all the fees.

The parents alleged that the school management is pressing for the recovery of annual fees along with transportation. At the same time, when it was discussed with the school principal, he called all the allegations baseless. He said that we have not taken the children hostage, but have prepared a list and sent a message to all the parents to deposit the fees. But despite that, the fees were not deposited by the parents, due to which about 50% of the students of the school have pending fees.

However, the parents have freed their children from the school management, but how much truth is there in the allegations is a matter of investigation. But if there is truth in the allegations, then it is a very serious matter. Let me tell you that even before this, there has been a ruckus in many private schools about the annual fees.
