But Parker Solar Probe of NASA sent a photograph of such a part of the planet Venus that scientists were stunned by seeing this picture. NASA scientists were hoping that dense clouds would appear in this picture and this picture would not be so clear, but in fact something different happened. Actually, before now whenever the picture of Venus is taken, the surface of Venus is not visible due to the cloud in it. But clouds are not visible in this picture and the surface of Venus is clearly visible.
What does parker solar do
The work of NASA’s Parker Solar Probe is to keep a close eye on the Sun. It has been sent in the year 2018. During his seven-year journey, Parker passed closely to Venus with the help of his gravity to get to the Sun. Parker took this picture at the same time. During his mission, Parker has to pass through Venus seven times, so that he will come to the Sun.
When photo taken
No man-made body will reach before Parker so close to the Sun. Its distance from the Sun will be only 4 million miles. This picture of Venus was taken by Parker’s WISPR in July 2020 when Parker was passing close to the planet Venus for the third time.
What is in the picture
In this picture of WISPR, the dark area surrounded by clouds is visible in Aphrodite Terra, which is a raised area near the equator of Venus. According to scientists, this area is 30 degrees colder than its surroundings. WISPR scientist and astrophysicist Brian Wood of the US Naval Research Laboratory, Washington DC, says that WISPR effectively captured Venus’s surface energy emissions.
What is the reason
This picture is similar to that drawn by Venus Probe of Japan which can study Venus by holding near infrared waves. At the same time, this picture also shows the potential of WISPR. And it is possible to study the dust near the WISPR Sun through Parker. According to scientists, this picture is astonishing.
