rajasthan constable result: The Rajasthan government has challenged the decision given by the single bench of the High Court regarding the release of the results of the police constable recruitment examination. Due to this, the candidates may have to wait longer for the result.
Instructions were given to appoint three months
The High Court bench had also considered the creation of district-wise merit as a violation of the Rajasthan Police Act-2009 and Rajasthan Police Subordinate Service Rules 1989 along with constitutional provisions. In addition, the Rajasthan DGP was also ordered to make merit of the candidates involved in the recruitment, across the state level, and to appoint the eligible candidates after completing the selection process in three months.
The result was to be released in JanuaryEarlier, while hearing the petition of Zaheer Ahmed on January 8, the court had put an interim stay on releasing the district-wise results of the written examination. Later on the conclusion of the debate, the decision was reserved on 10 February. Police headquarters was going to release the result of constable recruitment in the month of January. About 13 lakh candidates were sitting in this recruitment examination held on 6, 7 and 8 November. The final answer-key of the exam was released.
What is the whole matter
Rajasthan Police Headquarters was going to issue merit district-wise for the selection of 5438 posts of constables. Against which the petitioner Zaheer Ahmed had approached the Rajasthan High Court. The logic of the petitioner was that when recruitment is being done in all the districts by a recruitment advertisement, then at the state level also, the same result should be extracted and the same cutoff should be issued. In each district, different results will be discriminated against by issuing different results.
There is a provision to become a merit of the entire state
According to petitioner’s lawyer Ajaz Nabi, Rule No. 25 of the Rajasthan Police Subordinate Service Rules-1989 provides that a single joint merit will be made for police recruitment in the state. DGP Rajasthan had also issued its standing order. But currently Rajasthan Police Headquarters make district wise merit. Beyond the rules, the basis of district-wise merit has been considered as prevalent.
In the police constable recruitment of 2013, 49.50 percent, 74 percent of Sikar district and 71 percent of Dausa district were selected on the basis of merit. This recruitment was against the Constitution and the Rajasthan Police Subordinate Services Rules.
