Complaints against the officers and employees of the state in the Lokayukta Secretariat have been made and files are kept in the shelves. Depotation of employees from other departments in Lokayukta Secretariat has also been finished and sent to the parent department. In such a situation, the question is arising that how will the cases of corruption be resolved? Newly appointed Lokayukta PK Lohara says that the government will soon be written to fill the vacant posts.

The post of Deputy Lokayukta is lying vacant in the Lokayukta office. At the same time, the posts of one secretary, one section officer, 3 assistant section officers, one UDC, seven stenographers, one junior accountant and public relations officer have been postponed.These posts were abolished from the Lokayukta office on 20 March 2020.

The post of Lokayukta was running empty for a long time.
Before the Lok Sabha elections in March, the state government had removed the then Lokayukta SS Kothari through an ordinance. Since then the post was running vacant. The government passed the Rajasthan Lokayukta Amendment Bill-2019 for equality in the country, in July, the tenure of the Lokayukta was reduced from 8 years to 5 years.
