According to the information, PCR-28 was patrolling at the Ratu Road intersection of Ranchi late on Sunday night. During this time a vehicle was stopped, which had many cattle. But instead of taking action on animal smugglers, PCR-28 Assistant Under Inspector Shivcharan Murmu and other soldiers took the money and let the smugglers go from there. Someone made a video of this handiwork of PCR-28 from mobile. And sent it to SSP.

The SSP suspended the five policemen who were found guilty after conducting an inquiry into the video. Action was taken on Assistant Under Inspector Shiv Charan Murmu, Rakshi Laxmi Narayan Badike, Rakshi Sunil Pahadia, Rakshi Loko Pahadia and Driver Bhuneshwar Paswan.
