REET-2021: Major changes have been made in weightage of syllabus, qualifying marks and graduation marks in Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test-2021. These will affect the results and final selection of the candidates in a big way.
Change in syllabus
The syllabus of RIT-2021 has been changed. According to the notification, geography, history and culture of Rajasthan have been added to it. According to the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, this change was necessary. These changes have been made keeping in mind the instructions of NCTE.
Minimum score changeThe minimum marks have been changed to pass in REIT-21. In the year 2017, it was necessary for non TSP (ST) candidates to get minimum 60% marks. It has been reduced by 05%. Similarly, for SC, OBC, MBC, EWS category candidates, the minimum marks have been reduced by five percent. Whereas for the widow and ESM category, they have reduced the minimum marks by 10% and for the differently abled candidates by 20%.
Now the minimum mark to pass the writ
Normal / Unreserved (TSP / Non TSP) – 60%
ST class (TSP) – 36%, Non TSP – 55%
SC, OBC, MBC, EWS – 55%
Widows and Abandoned Women, Ex-Servicemen – 50%
Disabled Candidate – 40%
Candidates of Sahariya tribe – 36%
Weightage of digits also changed
Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has also changed the distribution of weightage of marks in the selection criteria. Earlier, the weightage was based on the score in the RET exam. The educational qualification was in the 70:30 ratio. But now the weightage of the digits has been reduced to the ratio of 90:10. The percentage marks weightage in graduation will now be 10 marks.
