Waste to Wealth Mission: A technical team from the office of Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India along with senior representatives of East Delhi Municipal Corporation and Central Road Research Institute visited the three sites. But for this, Kalyan Puri has been finalized as Pilot Project Road. Pilot Project is being developed under the waste-to-Sapanda mission of the Office of the Chief Scientific Advisor.
Around 25,000 metric tons of Legacy waste will be used as a one-kilometer-long road construction in Kalyanpuri. This will be the first unique project of a municipal corporation in the country to build a road from solid waste.

The Waste to Wealth Mission is one of the nine scientific missions of the Prime Minister’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Advisory Council to identify and test technologies for waste disposal Implementation is fundamental. The mission has identified Ghazipur dipping site as a priority. In this pilot road, East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) will provide segregated waste from landfill site for potholes and road construction so that the amount of waste from the landfill site can be reduced to its height.
At the same time, road can be made by using waste creatively. Along with this, the Central Road Research Institute will give technical support to build this pilot road by giving its design.
