Anand Pandit, the producer of ‘Chehre’, said that, ‘I did not want to increase his difficulties by including the name of Rhea Chakraborty’. When she became comfortable, we started promoting her name and her scenes in the film.
When the release date of the film was announced in February this year, the promotional material associated with it did not mention Chakraborty’s name and other actors of the film had not even tagged his name on social media, due to which the film There was speculation about his removal.
Chakraborty has been mired in controversies since the death of her boyfriend Rajput. Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in September last year while investigating drugs related to the case of Rajput’s death. He was later released on bail. Pandit said in an interview that, he did not worry about his criticism due to Chakraborty’s work in the film, but he wanted to save the actress from the eyes of the people.
Anand said, ‘The girl is facing many difficulties in her life. I did not want to increase their difficulties by including his name. ‘ The producer said, “When she became comfortable, I told her that during the trailer (launch) we will start promoting her name and her scenes in the film.”
Chakraborty appears for a moment in the trailer of Rummy Jaffrey’s directorial face, and with this, the speculation about his removal from the film has come to an end. After the trailer of the film was released last week, other actors and producers also tagged Chakraborty during the publicity on social media. Pandit said that the speculation that Chakraborty was removed from the film did not affect him.
Anand Pandit said, ‘My focus was on my film. 8 actors have acted in the film, from Bachchan (Amitabh) to Emraan (Hashmi). My focus was on the main cast. I was not worried about controversies related to other artists. Apart from Bachchan, Hashmi and Chakraborty, Annu Kapoor, Krystal D’Souza, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Raghubir Yadav and Siddhanth Kapoor have also acted in the film ‘Faces’ released on 9 April this year.
