The BJP has released the list of star campaigners for the eight-phase assembly elections in West Bengal. It includes three former Chief Ministers of neighboring Jharkhand, Babulal Marandi, Arjun Munda and Raghubar Das.
The BJP has announced the names of its candidates for the Bengal elections in two phases. Elections are to be held in 8 phases in West Bengal. Union Minister and former CM of Jharkhand Arjun Munda is from Bangla speaking area in Jharkhand. Arjun Munda is already camping in Bengal. Raghubar Das and Babulal Marandi will also be seen campaigning in West Bengal soon. Marandi has also visited Bengal, soon his entire schedule will be decided. In this way, three former CMs of Jharkhand, Arjun Munda, Raghubar Das and Babulal Marandi will be seen campaigning for BJP in Bengal.
Significantly, many parts of Bengal are bordered by Jharkhand. If the border of Ranchi district touches Purliya district of Bengal, the border of Vardhman meets Dhanbad. The BJP has a strong organizational structure in Nirsa and some other places in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. Jamshedpur area of Jharkhand is also close to Bengal. Former CM Raghubar Das himself is from Jamshedpur. In such a situation, it is a thoughtful strategy of the BJP to field three former CMs of Jharkhand for campaigning in Bengal. However, only time will tell what the strategy feeds in elections, but the politics in Bengal is fast at this time. On behalf of the BJP, big leaders have taken command of the election campaign.
