How long the enzymes in bacteria
According to the new study, the oxygen-producing photosynthesis process may have been present in the bacteria early in the enzyme. Significantly, the signs of early life on Earth are 3.4 billion years old and some research suggests that it may be more than 4 billion years old.
In the beginning, when developing eyes, only light could feel but not color. Similarly, photosynthesis used to be inefficient and slow in early times. It took one billion years for bacteria on Earth to develop into cyanobacteria. This change would have taken much less time to come because at that time sources of oxygen were available in the atmosphere. It is important to note that the sequence of development of photosynthesis protein is the same as that of the old enzyme. This discovery can be helpful in the search for life in other planets.
