On 20 March, this girl was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital due to a complaint of abdominal pain.
The tumor was growing continuously
Actually, 4-5 years ago this girl started having abdominal pain and swelling. And gradually the size of the stomach was increasing. From last year, the baby’s stomach swelling started growing and she started getting discomfort. The child was having difficulty in breathing along with abdominal pain. In such a situation, there was a dire need of hospitalization. But due to the increasing infection of Kovid-19, the girl’s family was reluctant to admit her in the hospital. Two football tumor
After this, the girl was admitted to the hospital on 20 March. According to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, ‘At that time the baby’s stomach was looking very crooked and during the clinical examination, the stomach was found to be very full. We were surprised at how swollen it was with the simple pain and condition. Immediately thereafter, the CT of the baby’s stomach. A scan was done which showed that there is a very large tumor in the stomach of the patient, whose size is 30x20x14 centimeters, which is equivalent to two big footballs.
This was the challenge before the doctors
After this, the doctor immediately consulted the parents and the girl for surgery. After this, the operation was done on 25 March. During the surgery, it was also clear that Bachchi had a very large tumor in his stomach. It was associated with the vital organs of the body including the blood of the veins and the intestine. According to the doctor, there were two major challenges in surgery, one, while removing the tumor, save the intestines of the arteries of blood and the second, the root of the tumor should be removed. Doctors succeeded in both challenges in a successful operation for almost an hour. The tumor has also been sent for histopathological examination. The girl was discharged a few days after successful surgery.
