new Delhi. The Maruti Suzuki WagonR was the best selling car in the country in January this year. It is also the best selling CNG car in the hatchback segment. Now Maruti Suzuki has relaunched the updated model of the WagonR with major changes. These changes make the WagonR even more special. Dual-Tone Exterior Paint
2022 Maruti Suzuki WagonR has been launched in two dual-tone paint schemes. It will get the option of Magma Gray with Black Roof and Gallant Red with Black Roof. Apart from this, the company is also offering the top-spec variant with blacked-out alloy wheels, which was not the case earlier. Apart from these changes, the car also gets black colored inserts for the headlamps and a dark radiator grille.

Factory fidget CNG kit will be available in both the variants
Interestingly, Maruti Suzuki has used this opportunity to revamp the variant line-up to offer an even better configuration to the buyers. The company has also introduced the new Tour H3 trim for the fleet customers. The option of factory fitted CNG will now be available in the VXi trim as well. However, the 1.2L petrol motor will be available only in the newly introduced ZXI+ trim.

Inside the WagonR, the old theme has been replaced by a new beige and dark gray melange upholstery. Apart from this, the feature list now includes automatic start-stop system and hill-hold assist in automatic trims. The 7-inch SmartPlay Studio unit now comes with Satellite Navigation with the Connected Car application. The WagonR will now be available with dual-airbags as a standard affair across the range.

better fuel efficiency
Maruti Suzuki has managed to compete with the fuel economy numbers of the WagonR with this update. The 1.0L three-cylinder motor with AMT box is claimed to deliver 25.19 kmpl, which is an increase of 15 per cent. The CNG trims of the WagonR, on the other hand, offer an additional 5% mileage in the new variant with a claimed 34.05 km/kg. Coming to the larger 1.2L motor, it now produces 88.7 Bhp of peak power while the claimed mileage is 24.43 kmpl with the AMT unit.

The entry-level LXI model of the Maruti Suzuki WagonR starts at Rs 5.40 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-end ZXI+ dual-tone variant costs up to Rs 7.10 lakh.
