According to the government statement, equitable and easy access to quality health services will be strengthened by encouraging the use of technologies like telemedicine and national level choice of health services through Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. The National Health Authority (NHA) will be the implementing agency of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.

What is Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission on 15 August 2020. Under this scheme, a health card is issued to the citizens upon creation of the account. In this health card, complete details related to health are recorded. This scheme was launched in some parts of the country in September last year.
Pilot project launched in first 6 union territories
According to the statement, the pilot project of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission was completed in 6 union territories of Ladakh, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman Diu, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. It states that as on February 24, 2022, 17,33,69,087 Ayushman Bharat health accounts have been created and 10,114 doctors and 17,319 health facilities have been registered in ABDM.
