new Delhi. Japanese car maker Toyota Kirloskar Motor is going to increase the prices of its cars from next month. The company recently launched the 2022 Glanza premium hatchback in India. From April 1, Toyota has announced a price hike of up to 4 percent on all models.
Apart from the Glanza, the Japanese carmaker sells 6 models in the Indian markets including the Fortuner, Innova Crysta, Camry, Vellfire and Urban Cruiser.

Is this the reason?
Toyota issued a statement on Saturday saying that the increase in prices is necessary due to increase in cost. Input cost along with raw material has increased in recent times. Toyota said in its statement, “As a committed and customer-centric company, all efforts have been made to minimize the impact of rising costs on consumers.”
Toyota will launch new model soon
Toyota Motor is going to launch a new model in India very soon. Toyota Hilux pickup truck, which was revealed on January 20 this year. The company was earlier going to launch it in March, but the carmaker decided to stop taking bookings for the Hilux without assigning any reason. It seems that the launch has also been postponed for some time. The carmaker is expected to announce the new dates soon.

Cars of these companies became expensive
Toyota has become another company to join the list of hikers in the prices of its vehicles. Earlier, BMW India on Friday announced a price hike of up to 3.5 percent from next month. Other luxury car makers like Audi and Mercedes-Benz are also planning to hike prices from April 1.
