People will have to face a lot of difficulties due to the closure of buses.

The operation of buses is bound to be disrupted due to the involvement of most of the unions in the strike. To make the strike successful, the joint front of the employees’ unions has taken a tough decision and said that if any office bearer or roadways worker of the unions does not participate in the strike, then he will be dismissed from the unions.

This is the demand of the employees

While the Haryana Roadways employees are demanding the closure of the alleged privatization policies of the Center, the Haryana Roadways Unions cancel the Stage Carriage Policy 2016 and buy 10,000 new buses in the department, restore the old pension policy, pay grade of operators and clerks. There is a demand to increase, to ensure that the drivers, operators from the date of appointment from 1992 to 2002, to promote the drivers by creating a new post of Adda Incharge and to stop the contractor practice of HREC Gurugram.

State General Secretary of Haryana Roadways Employees Workers Union, Sharbat Singh Poonia said that the main demand of the employees is to stop privatization and restore old pension. He said that the government is adopting different methods of privatization for granting route permits on a large scale under the State Carriage Scheme, Kilometer Scheme and ABC category.
