India has achieved the target of exporting goods of 400 billion dollars. This target has been accomplished 9 days before the period fixed by the Government of India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave this information by tweeting on Wednesday. According to statistics, India exported an average of 1 billion dollars every day. At the same time, by the month, 33 billion dollars of goods were exported every month.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted about this great achievement of India (Narendra Modi’s tweet). The Prime Minister wrote, ‘India for the first time has achieved the target of exporting goods of 400 billion dollars. I congratulate our farmers, weavers, MSMEs, manufacturers and exporters for this success. This is an important milestone in our journey towards self-reliant India. In the tweet, PM Modi has told that the government has achieved this target 9 days before the deadline.

Trade deficit widens due to increase in imports
India’s imports have also increased by 36 percent due to increase in crude oil and gold prices. For this reason, the trade deficit of $17.4 billion in January increased to $20.9 billion in February. India’s services and manufacturing activity remained stagnant in February, despite a rise in prices due to the Russo-Ukraine war. All eight high frequency indicators, compiled by Bloomberg News, indicate stability.
