new Delhi. If you want to visit Shri Amarnath then there is good news for you. Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) has made an announcement related to online registration. The board has said that from next month (April) online registration can be done through banks. Apart from this, regarding the safety of the passengers, the board said that the movement of vehicles going for the journey will be tracked with an RFID based system.
SASB Additional CEO Rahul Singh reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming Yatra during a high level meeting held under the chairmanship of Jammu Divisional Commissioner Raghav Langer. He said, “The online registration will start in the month of April 2022 and there will be a limit of 20,000 registrations per day.” He said that on-spot registration will also be done at the designated counters during the travel days.
Instructions for installing adequate toilets and water coolers
Singh said that to ensure the safety of Amarnath pilgrims, the board has decided to use Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to track the movement of vehicles and pilgrims during this year’s pilgrimage. He said that RFID tag cards would be issued to all the pilgrims. The Divisional Commissioner directed the DCs to install adequate number of toilets and water coolers along the route for the convenience of the pilgrims.

Explain that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual pilgrimage in 2020 and 2021 was organized on a symbolic basis. Therefore, it is expected that this time the number of pilgrims may be more as compared to the previous years.
