new Delhi. There was a stampede in the stock market on Thursday. Sensex and Nifty started trading with a big decline of the year.
In the market opening itself, the Sensex broke 1,814 points and opened at 55,418.45, going down from 56 thousand. Similarly, Nifty also started trading with a loss of 514 points and opened at 16,548.90 below 17 thousand. Investors were seen selling bumpers on both the exchanges. There was a slight improvement till 9.25 am and the Sensex was trading at 55,743 with a loss of 1,448 points. Similarly, Nifty was trading 419 points lower at 16,444.

Asian markets also opened at a loss
Most of the Asian markets, which opened on February 24, started trading with a fall. Singapore’s stock exchange opened at a loss of 1.65 percent and Japan’s 1.12 percent. Apart from this, there was a fall of 1.18 percent on Taiwan’s stock exchange and 1.72 percent in South Korea. Experts say that the impact of the fall in Asian markets will definitely be seen on Indian investors as well.
