Fraud will not be possible in the purchase and sale of property, know the initiative of the Central Government


new Delhi. There will be no fraud in property purchase. The government is preparing multilingual software to prevent such frauds. With this people will be able to know the land records in 22 languages. In this regard, Union Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh made this announcement in Delhi on Monday on the occasion of the release of e-book “Empowering Citizens – Powering India” on land governance reforms announced in the budget. With which people will be able to get the land records in their own language. This multilingual software is planning to launch from April.

Giving information about the indigenously developed NGDRS (National Common Document Registration System) software, Giriraj Singh said that the NGDRS software has been prepared for about 4 crores. The use of this software has resulted in a significant increase in the land revenue to the State Governments. The minister said that NGDRS is being implemented in 13 states, which will benefit 22 crore people. Till now 30.9 lakh documents have been registered through this system, from which revenue of more than 16 thousand crores has been received.

He said that after the implementation of ULPIN (Unique Land Parcel Identification Number) in the country, no one can snatch the rights of the poor. Linking ULPIN with PAN, Aadhaar, Land Records, Courts and Banking System will get rid of corruption and fraud in land matters. Till date, ULPIN has been rolled out in 14 states.

The contents of the e-book are related to Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN), National Common Document Registration System (NGDRS) and Multilingual Land Records to break the linguistic barrier in land records. After adopting digital technology by the Department of Land Resources, there has been transparency in land records information and management. A Unique Land Identification Number (ULPIN) is being provided to each land parcel to prevent fraud and benami property transactions. Multilingual land records will enable people to get information in their regional and mother tongues.

On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste, Minister of State for Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Minister of State for Panchayati Raj Kapil Moreshwar Patil, Secretary, Department of Land Resources Ajay Tirkey and Secretary, Department of Rural Development, Nagendra Nath Sinha and Department of Land Resources were present. Sonmoni Bora, Joint Secretary, was present.
