new Delhi. Two days before Holi, good news has come for the laborers working in the fields. Tripura government has increased the wages of laborers working in tea gardens. Earlier the daily wage of a laborer was Rs 105, which has been increased to Rs 136.
According to a tweet by ANI, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said that the daily wage of these workers will increase by Rs 31 to Rs 136 after the revision. In this way, the Tripura government announced an increase of Rs 31 in the salary of tea garden workers.

The Chief Minister also interacted with the workers of Tripura Cha Shramik at his residence on Tuesday. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted, “Today interacted with Tripura Cha Shramik workers at their residence. Took his feedback on the policies and schemes of the state government to further improve our public welfare work focused on the overall development of the state.

More than 7,000 families dependent on tea gardens in the state are expected to benefit from this wage revision under the ‘Mukhyamantri Cha Shramik Kalyan Prakalp’ scheme. Its purpose is for the welfare of tea garden workers.
