new Delhi. Toyota is soon going to launch the updated model of its popular hatchback car Glanza on March 15. Recently, the company released the teaser of its premium hatchback car. Now the company has started booking for the facelift model of Glanza. Customers can book it at the company’s showroom or official website for Rs 11,000.
The 2022 Glanza will also be equipped with many advanced connected features. Looking at the rear and front looks of the new Glanza, it seems that this time it is going to be a little different from the recently launched Maruti’s new Baleno. Updated rear bumper, new fenders and tailgate will be seen in the Glanza. The new Glanza will come with a different design for the front bumper and a different styling for the DRLs. It is expected that a different grille design will be seen in Toyota.

These will be the features
The interiors will remain the same as the new Baleno except for the colors of the upholstery. This means that the car will get a free-standing touchscreen, redesigned control surface and new instrument cluster dials like the new Baleno. It can be expected that the Glanza will get features like head-up display, 360 degree camera and 6 airbags like Baleno. The Glanza will also be offered with a longer standard warranty as compared to the Baleno.

Like the new Baleno, Toyota will offer the Glanza with minor changes in its engine. The Glanza will get a new non-hybrid 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine, which is expected to be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT gearbox option. The Toyota Glanza will be based on the VXI and ZXI variants of Maruti’s Baleno. That is, its starting price will be slightly higher than Maruti.

Baleno will clash
The new Baleno has recently been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 6.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-of-the-range variant equipped with the AMT sells for ₹ 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it slightly more affordable than the previous generation model.
