Due to this, recently crash testing of Honda City, Renault Kiger, Honda Jazz and Nissan Magnite sold in India has been done by Global NCAP.
Honda City, Renault Kiger, Honda Jazz and Nissan Magnite have received four-star safety ratings in the adult occupant protection category in Global NCAP crash testing. This means that these cars meet a great deal in terms of the safety of the passengers.

Global NCAP i.e. Global New Car Assessment Program is an organization that independently tests and ratings new cars on several parameters. This organization gives a rating of 0-5 stars to the tested cars. Global NCAP rating is very important for car companies, because getting the rating leads to better marketing of cars.
The fourth generation Honda City and Jazz both got four star ratings in the adult occupant protection segment with 12.03 out of 17 and 13.89 points. At the same time, in the child occupant protection category, these two Honda cars have got 38.27 and 31.54 marks out of 49. Jazz has got three-star rating in this category, while City has got four-star rating.

The fourth generation Honda City midsize sedan lacks front seatbelt pre-tensioners, side airbags, drive knee airbags. Honda Jazz premium hatchback, on the other hand, lacks front seatbelt pre-tensioners, side airbags and driver knee airbag. It also does not get ISOFIX anchorage.
The Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite have got a two-star safety rating in the child occupant protection category. Renault Kiger scored 12.34 out of 17 in Adult Occupant Protection category and 21.05 in Child Occupant Protection segment. On the other hand, Nissan Magnite has got 11.85 and 24.88 marks in adult and child occupant protection category. The Renault Kiger which was tested by Global NCAP had no side airbags, driver knee airbags, ISOFIX anchorages. The Nissan Magnite also lacked the same safety features.
