new Delhi. Maruti Suzuki recently launched the facelift version of its popular car Baleno. Keeping this in view, Hyundai has also launched two new variants of its popular i20. The new variant of the i20, 1.2 CVT Asta (O) has been priced at Rs 10.51 lakh and 1.0 DCT Sportz at Rs 9.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The i20 till now was only available in the top-spec Asta (O) variant with the 1.2-litre engine mated to a manual gearbox. Now with the introduction of the new 1.2 CVT, the top 1.2 liter variant will also get an automatic gearbox. At the same time, due to the new 1.0 DCT Sportz version, now the turbo-petrol DCT option will be available in the lower variant as well. The Turbo DCT was earlier available only on the Asta and Asta (O) variants.

These new features will be available
Talking about new features in both the new variants of i20, the company has also added many new features to it. Like the Sportz variant now gets automatic AC, whereas earlier it only had manual AC. The automatic AC was till now available only in the Asta variant. The car also gets cruise control, which was earlier available only on the Asta (O) variant. Also, the i20 Asta trim now gets a sunroof, which was earlier only available with the 1.0 iMT Asta model.
Cruise control has been added to the Asta version, but now it gets a smaller 8.0-inch touch screen instead of the 10.25-inch display, along with the connected car features have also been removed. Meanwhile, ESTA(O) gets some additional voice commands for the BlueLink system. Lastly, the wheel covers on the Magna variant are now finished in gun metal shade instead of silver.

These cars will collide
Competitors of the i20 include the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz, Toyota Glanza and Volkswagen Polo. These updates on the i20 come after Maruti Suzuki launched the all-new Baleno and the Toyota Glanza is also expected to be updated soon. Additionally, the Tata Altroz will also be updated with a DCT automatic gearbox soon.
