He reviewed the status of various important construction projects and doubling works and also asked the officials to expedite the work.

The General Manager stressed on improving the maintenance standards of tracks, welds and construction of boundary wall along rail tracks in high-speed rail sections. He took the incidents of crossing railway tracks seriously. He advised efforts to remove encroachments near railway tracks to ensure safety.

Concern expressed over stopping of trains due to crew change
The General Manager expressed concern over the halting of trains at the Crew Changing Points due to Crew Change and directed the Divisions to complete the Crew Changing in the shortest possible time so as to avoid delay in running due to this. He directed the Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers to maintain punctuality and increase the speed of freight loading, giving priority to safety.

Complete the construction work of all the projects on time
He said that the system of monitoring the progress of construction projects should also be given priority as the progress of these projects depends on the development of railways. He directed the heads of departments to expedite the works to complete the special construction projects within the stipulated time.

Create an environment of trust among BDU customers
General Manager on Freight Business Development said that liaison should be maintained with Business Development Units (BDUs). He directed that BDUs should maintain an atmosphere of trust, cooperation and confidence among the customers. He also directed to take the concessions and measures being taken by the Railways to the customers. He also informed that with every passing month there has been an increase in the loading of food grains and other items.
