In order to increase the availability of berths in existing trains, arrangements are also being made to install temporary coaches. Most of the trains are being operated for the passengers going to Purvanchal and Bihar.

Northern Railway has announced to operate a pair of special trains in this direction between Patna-Anand Vihar Terminal. The operation of this train will especially benefit the passengers of Purvanchal and Bihar who are planning to go home on Holi festival. However, before this, special trains are being operated by the Northern Railway for the special cities of all the states including Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh for the passengers on Holi festival.
According to Northern Railway spokesperson Deepak Kumar, for the convenience of the passengers during the upcoming festival, Holi special trains are being operated as follows:-
Train No. 04072 Anand Vihar Terminal – Patna Reserved Super Fast Festival Special train will leave Anand Vihar Terminal at 01.25 PM on 16.03.2022 and will reach Patna at 05.30 AM the next day.
In the return direction, 04071 Patna-Anand Vihar Terminal Reserved Superfast Festival Special will leave Patna at 07.15 am on 17.03.2022 and arrive Anand Vihar Terminal at 00.45 midnight the next day. Enroute, this special train will stop at Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Jn., Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Buxar and Ara stations in both the directions.
