Investors became rich in two days’ boom, investors earned ₹ 7.21 lakh crore


new Delhi. The stock market rose 2 percent on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Sensex closed at 54,647.33 with a gain of 1,223.34 points. Nifty also closed at 16,345.35 with a gain of 331.90 points. 26 out of 30 Sensex stocks have closed in the green. This two-day boom in the stock market has put Rs 7.21 lakh crore in the bag of investors.

Auto, realty rose up to 2 per cent while metal stocks fell flat. BSE Smallcap and Midcap have also shown a jump of up to 2 percent. Nifty’s bank index closed with a gain of 1 per cent. The stock market was supported by Reliance Industries and automobile stocks. Airline stocks have also risen after the government lifted the ban on international flights.

Slowdown in other Asian markets

On the other hand, there was a slowdown in the markets of Asia on Wednesday. Japan, Shanghai and Hong Kong stock markets closed in the red today. Ajit Mishra of Religare Broking says that they are seeing a rebound or relief rally after a lot of fall. As long as Nifty 50 trades below 16,400, it will remain a sell on rise market. Shares of Reliance Industries rose 5.3 percent on Wednesday.

Growth in these sectors

After falling for 6 consecutive sessions, shares of InterGlobe Aviation jumped 6.9 percent today. Shares of Spicejet Share Price also jumped 6 percent today. The jump in aviation stocks has come from the government’s announcement of lifting the ban on international flights from March 27. Nifty Auto Index closed up 2.85 per cent. Maruti Suzuki shares rose 3.2 per cent, while Mahindra & Mahindra shares closed up 4.9 per cent. On the other hand, Nifty IT index closed with a gain of 1 per cent, energy index 2 per cent, financial services index 3.9 per cent and bank index 5 per cent higher. Shares of Bajaj Finserv and Bajaj Finance rose 3.9 per cent and 5 per cent, respectively.
