Is it time to replace the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones?

New Delhi: Google has just recently released its update for the Pixel smartphone. This update is on Google’s new smartphone Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. However, the release notes did not mention the Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL. According to the release, in the new update, an update has been given about the security features of Pixel.

After three years of security patches and several Android OS updates, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are no longer officially supported by Google. These devices will not get Android 12L or Android 13 update or any new security patch. If you have a Pixel 3 or 3 XL, you should consider a new phone.

Both the smartphones received the last update Android 12 at the end of last year. These smartphones have not received any security patch in November, December or January. However, in February, Google released the last update for the older Pixel 3. This release should include all changes and security updates for new Pixels. Google Pixel 3 series smartphones were launched in October 2018.
