New Delhi. Jeep India on Monday announced that its upcoming seven-seat SUV will be named Jeep Meridian. The Jeep Meridian will be a completely ‘Made in India’ SUV, but it will come with the promise of offering a capable drive and a feature-packed cabin.
The upcoming Jeep SUV has been spotted during test runs on several occasions over the past several months. The name ‘Jeep Meridian’ was chosen from around 70 options that the company considered. These include some Jeep names in the global market. The company said that the name Meridian was ultimately chosen because it was inspired by the line that runs through the length of India connecting “some of the most beautiful states and cultures”.
