New Delhi. Korean carmaker Kia has today launched its new car Kia Carens in India. This is the company’s fourth car after the Seltos, Sonnet and Carnival. The price of its initial variant starts from Rs 8.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 16.99 lakh. It has been introduced in a total of 19 variants. More than 19 thousand bookings of Carens have been done so far.
The Carens is available in five model option levels Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. The car comes in 7-seater configurations ranging from premium to luxury trims. The Luxury Plus trim will be available in both 6 and 7-seater configurations. It gets 6 airbags, DBC, VSM, HAC, ESC and all-wheel disc brakes on all models, which makes the Carens the safest family SUV.

This cars will give collision
Kia Carens will compete with many cars present in the Indian market. It will compete directly with the Hyundai Alcazar and Tata Safari, while it will take on the Maruti Suzuki XL6 on the price spectrum and the Innova Crysta from Toyota Motors at the other end. Apart from this, it will also give tough competition to three-rowers like MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV700.

Kia Carence Engine and Transmission Options
Kia is offering the Carens with three engine options. It also gets a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor, 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Talking about transmission, there are many options available in this too. The 1.5-litre petrol unit is paired with a six-speed manual unit, the 1.4-turbocharged petrol comes with either a 7-speed DCT or 6-speed manual and the diesel unit or 6-speed AT comes with a .
Kia Carens Mileage
Kia claims that the petrol engine of the Karens will give a mileage of 16.5 kmpl and the diesel engine will give a mileage of 21.3 kmpl. Apart from the exciting pricing, the Carrene offers a minimum maintenance cost of 37 paise per kilometer. The company continues to personalize the vehicle servicing process for its customers and offers competitive maintenance cost across all its models in the country.
Kia Carens Interior
The Carence has many convenience and connectivity features. It will get special 10.25-inch HD touchscreen display, digital driver display, 64-colour ambient lighting, Bose sound system, air purification, ventilation for the front and sunroof. The second and last row of the carens has ample space for the passengers. To reach the rear seats, one-touch tumble down feature has been given on the middle seats.
