KTM will launch Duke Electric bike, will be powerful in speed and range, see details


New Delhi. Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM, which has engulfed the Indian market with Duke and KTM RC sports and aggressive bikes, is now going to enter the electric bike segment.

According to reports, the company will launch its first electric bike Electric Duke or e-Duke this year. KTM’s parent company Pierer Mobility has confirmed that the company is working on an all-electric bike.

It is expected that KTM will give a similar look to its upcoming electric bike as the Duke. This was disclosed in the presentation of preliminary revenue and earnings for the financial year 2021. Without revealing much about the bike, the motorcycle manufacturer confirmed that an e-Duke is going to enter the market soon.

Pierer Mobility also confirmed that development of two more electric bikes is underway in addition to the e-Duke. These include the KTM E10, which is a youth dirt bike, while the other Freeride E LV is called a scrambler. The E-Duke will get a 5.5 kWh battery pack, which will produce a power output of 13.4 bhp. It is also being said that the bike can get a range of 100 km on a single charge.

How will the design be?

In terms of performance, KTM bikes are known for their impressive power delivery and punchy torque. Although the company has not revealed much about its electric bike, but it is expected to be similar to the Duke 125. As per the Rushlane report, apart from the performance figures, the design of the E-Duke is similar to that of the E-Pylane, but KTM is expected to retain the sharp and aggressive styling that sets its bike apart.

Keeping this in mind, the company has so far targeted a large segment of customers by launching a range of bikes from Duke 125 to Duke 790. The company is expected to adopt and maintain a safe approach to KTM for its electric bikes as well.
