new Delhi. Luxury car maker Mercedes Benz had to stop its production due to a leopard. The work of the plant came to a standstill for the whole day. However, a major accident was averted. The case pertains to the Chakan plant of Mercedes Bench located in Pune district, where a leopard had entered the campus.

Due to this the work in the plant came to a standstill for the whole day. After a struggle of about 6-7 hours, with the help of forest department officials, the leopard was safely taken out and released into the forest.

no employee harm
After getting information about the matter, the employees of Chakan Forest Department and wildlife rescue experts who reached the spot helped the local police to take out the leopard. Officials say that the leopard was hiding in the plant. However, he did not harm any employee.

Luxury cars are produced here
The area where this Mercedes bench plant is located has a high population of leopards. However, this is the first time that a leopard entered the plant and because of that production had to be stopped. The company’s same plant produces the C-Class, E-Class, S-Class and CLA Coupe. From 2018 onwards, the company exports its GLC model to the US from this plant.

Such incident has happened before
This is not the first time that a wild animal has entered a car manufacturing plant. Earlier in October 2017, production had to be stopped due to leopard at Maruti’s Manesar plant. After 30 hours of hard work, he could be pulled out from there.
