New Delhi. If hard work is done with true dedication, then no one can stop you from touching the heights of the sky. Everyone must have heard this often and there are many people who have made it true. But if someone does this feat at the age of just 23, then it becomes a bit difficult to believe. Shashvat Nakrani is the person who proved that hard work always pays off.

IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2021 has been released. 46 startup founders have made it to this list, out of which one name is Shashwat Nakrani, who is the youngest startup businessman in this list. So let’s know about them…

BharatPe payment app was created 4 years ago
Shashwat Nakrani had created BharatPe QR Code with Ashneer Grover at the age of 19 in 2018, 4 years ago today. Today Bharatpe has become so successful that Shashwat’s name has appeared in the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2021 as the youngest self-made individual. Nakrani is among the 13 people who were born after 1990 in the Hurun India Rich List 2021.

More than 70 lakh merchants associated with BharatPe
BharatPe is the only QR code that is accepted by 150 UPI payment apps including all payment platforms Paytm, Google Pay, PhonePe, Amazon Pay. At present, more than 70 lakh merchants are associated with BharatPe. The total number of UPI transactions on this is 11 crore.

this is how the idea came
Nakrani identified a huge gap in the market and realized the need for a payment gateway that can be accessed by all merchants and that does not cut into their margins. After this, he started working on a solution that could help merchants by taking advantage of the interoperability feature of UPI. With this solution of Naqrani, the merchant got rid of the hassle of applying different QR codes for different payment apps.

Shashwat has studied from IIT Delhi. Shashwat joined IIT Delhi in the year 2015. He has done his graduation in Textile Technology.
