A few months ago, Microsoft launched the Windows 11 operating system. All Windows 10 users are eligible for a free upgrade to the new OS through the system upgrade feature but not everyone has the required hardware specs. Many such users have installed Windows 11 through third-party installers. You can also install the latest OS by making simple modifications to Registry. Now, as per a report by WindowsLatest, Microsoft will warn users if they keep using Windows 11 on an unsupported PC.
According to the report, if you have installed the new OS on a system that does not match the requirements mentioned by the tech giant, you will receive an alert with the Windows Settings app. The report further mentions that Microsoft has started to implement an alert message in the header of the Settings app. Currently, the alert for the unsupported hardware appears within the homepage of the Settings app. The report also suggests the alert may direct users to a page that explains why running Windows 11 on unsupported PCs may result in incompatibility issues. The page will also mention how the OS may hamper the warranty of the device.
As per a previous report by WindowsLatest, Microsoft is reportedly planning to roll out wallpaper stickers for Windows 11 users. The tech giant is working on new stickers that will provide users a new way to personalise PCs as per their liking. Currently, Windows 11 comes with a wide range of features that users can access to customise the appearance of their PC. You can pick accent colours as per the apps you use or as your wallpaper. It also comes with a transparency effect for apps called Mica. The report suggests that references for wallpaper stickers support have been found in the Windows 11 preview builds.
