PM Awas Yojana: Big change in rules, if it does not stay for 5 years, the house will be canceled


New Delhi: To prevent rigging under PM Awas Yojana, the central government has changed the rules. If you have also taken a house under this scheme, then it has now been made necessary to stay in that house for 5 years. If you are not living in that house or have rented it, then that house will be taken back from you. Also, the money you have deposited will not be returned. This means that the agreement lease deed will be changed only after staying for 5 years in the house found under PM Awas Yojana.

At present, these houses are given through Registered Agreement to Lease. Now the central government will see for five years whether you are living in these houses or not. Now your Registered Agreement To Lease Deed will be changed only when you are living in that house. Failure to do so, the Development Authority will terminate the agreement entered into with you. Also, the money you have deposited will not be returned.

flats will not be free hold
According to the new rule, the flats built in the cities under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will not be free hold. The benefit of this will be that only the needy people will now get the benefit of this scheme. Under this scheme, the rigging of renting a house will now stop. It has also been said in the new rules that if the allottee dies, then the lease will be transferred to the family member only. There will be no transfer of lease to anyone else.
