New Delhi. Mutual fund companies have raised about one lakh crore rupees in the year 2021 through 140 new fund offerings ie NFO (New Fund Offerings). This success was achieved due to the strong increase in the interest of retail investors in the market due to the boom in the stock market. Earlier in the year 2020, a total of Rs 53,703 crore could be raised through 81 NFOs.

NFO may limit NFO this year
Harshad Chetanwala, co-founder of mywealthgrowth.com, said that however, due to volatility in the stock market, Asset Management Companies (Asset Management Companies) may limit NFO this year.

There will be a reduction in the year 2022 new fund offering
Ankit Yadav, Wealth Manager (America) and Director, Market Maestro, also believes that there will be a reduction in NFOs in 2022 and when the rates start increasing in 2023, their number will be very less.

According to the data of Morningstar India, 140 NFOs (including closed end funds and ETFs) came in 2021. It was successful in raising Rs 99,704 crore through these offers.
