Samsung has released a February 2022 security update to its Galaxy S21 FE. The latest software update brings firmware version G990BXXS1BVB3 to the device. It comes with fixes for over 60 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities on the phone.
It is currently available for users in Europe. Samsung Galaxy S21FE users in African, Asian, and South American markets are expected to get the update within the next few weeks. To check the update manually, users can head to Settings > Software updates on their phone.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was launched in January this year. The phone comes powered by Exynos 2100 processor and runs on Android 12 operating system.
The smartphone has a 6.4-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The display has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz in Game mode. It also features Eye Comfort Shield with AI-based blue light control.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G comes in two variants — 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. The device is backed by a 4,500mAh battery. It offers 25watt wired charging support. It comes with 15watt wireless charging as well.
In terms of cameras, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE comes with a 12MP ultrawide camera with F2.2 and 123˚ field-of-view. It is paired with a 12MP wide camera with F1.8 and an 8MP telephoto camera with 30x space zoom and F2.4 aperture. For selfies, the phone has a 32MP camera at the front with F2.2 aperture.
