Cyber criminals do phishing attacks in these ways
Phishing attacks use both social engineering and technology to steal customers’ personally identifiable data and financial information related to accounts.
A fake email is sent to the customers, asking them to click on a hyperlink.
By clicking on it, it takes the customer to a fake website, which looks like the real one.
Here customers are asked to update their personal information like password, credit card and bank account number etc.
The customer trusts and clicks on the submit button after giving his personal details.
After this he suddenly sees the error page. In this way the customer becomes a victim of phishing.
