new Delhi. Tata Motors has increased the price of India’s best selling electric car Nexon EV. The prices of Nexon EV have been increased by Rs 25,000 across all existing variants. Tata Motors currently offers the Nexon EV in five variants.
Tata Motors has not yet shared any reason behind the hike in prices. Earlier this year, Tata had marginally increased the prices of some of its models. It cited rising input cost as the reason behind the increase in prices.

Price hiked on these models
The Nexon EV models on which the price has been increased include XM, XZ Plus, XZ Plus Luxury, Dark XZ Plus and Dark XZ Plus Luxury variants. The Tata Nexon EVs, which earlier started at ₹14.29 Lakh (ex-showroom), will now be available from ₹14.54 Lakh (ex-showroom). The top model Tata Nexon EV Dark XZ Plus luxury variant has been priced at Rs.17.15 Lakh (ex-showroom). Earlier its price was less than ₹ 17 lakh.

The Nexon EV comes with a 30.2 kWh battery pack, which gives it a range of 312 kms on a single charge. This car accelerates to 100 kmph in 9.14 seconds. Its engine generates 127 Bhp and 245 Nm of torque. The Nexon EV has been a major contributor to the rise of Tata Motors as an EV manufacturer.

Launched two years ago
Nexon EV is the best selling car in India. The company launched it two years ago. Since then, more than 13,500 units of the Nexon EV have been sold in India. The Nexon EV is currently the best selling electric car in the passenger vehicle segment in India.
