new Delhi. On Wednesday, Reliance’s CMD Mukesh Ambani addressed the Asia Economic Dialogue 2022 and gave his views on many important issues. He talked about from green energy to the Indian economy. During this, he mentioned about the two gurus of Pune International Center and said that under his guidance this institute will touch new heights of prestige.
Among the two gurus that Mukesh Ambani mentioned, the first name was Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar (Dr. Raghunath Anant Mashelkar) and the second name was Dr. Vijay Kelkar. The Reliance Chairman said that he is respected and admired by both of these personalities for the vision and action with which they have led. Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar
Raghunath Anant Mashelkar is also known as Ramesh Mashelkar. He was born on 1 January 1943 in Mashel village of Goa. Growing up, he got recognition as a big chemical engineer. He has been the Director General of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). He served as the President of the National Indian Science Academy during 2004-2006. Apart from these institutions, Dr. Mashelkar has also been the President of the Institution of Chemical Engineering (2007), President of the Global Research Alliance from 2007 to 2018.
Dr. Mashelkar was also the first president of the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR). He has been honored with Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri awards for his special contribution in the field of science and chemical engineering.

Dr. Mashelkar was a member of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister and also a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Cabinet constituted by successive governments. He has chaired 12 high-powered committees to look into various issues ranging from the national auto fuel policy to reforming the Indian drug regulatory system and tackling the menace of counterfeit drugs. He was appointed by the government as the assessor for the one-man commission of inquiry investigating the Bhopal gas tragedy (1985–86) and chairman of the committee to investigate the Maharashtra Gas Cracker Complex accident (1990–91).
Dr. Vijay Kelkar
Dr. Vijay Kelkar was born on 15 May 1942. He is a renowned Indian economist. He is currently the Chairman of Forum of Federations, Ottawa and India Development Foundation, New Delhi and President of Janwani. Janvani is a social initiative of Maheratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) in Pune. He was appointed as a trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust (Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh) on 4 January 2014.

He was also the chairman of the Finance Commission till January 2010. Prior to this, he was the advisor to the Finance Minister from 2002-2004. He is considered to have played an important role in the economic reforms in India. Prior to this, he remained Finance Secretary to the Government of India in 1998–1999, and in 1999 he was named on the Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as Executive Director for India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka.
