However, later investors looked a little cautious and at 9.26 in the morning, the Sensex was trading at 56,532 with a gain of 46 points while the Nifty was up 12 points at 16,870.

Betting on these shares

Investors are betting fiercely on the shares of auto and pharma companies today. Shares of Asian Paints, M&M, Cipla, Tata Consume Products and Maruti Suzuki were the top gainers and were being bought heavily in the market. Apart from this, investors are keeping distance from the shares of ONGC, Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, JSW Steel and SBI Life Insurance.

Oil companies’ shares crash due to falling crude prices

In the global market, the price of crude oil has reached around $ 100 per barrel. The International Energy Agency has assured to increase the supply, which is showing a big fall in prices. Its effect was also visible on the shares of oil companies and ONGC shares were trading at 3 per cent decline while Oil India showed a 2.3% weakness.

Asian markets mixed trend

The Asian markets are seeing volatility on Tuesday. While there was a decline of 0.52 percent on the stock exchange of Singapore, South Korea is trading at a loss of 0.68 percent. In contrast, Japan’s stock market is seeing a rise of 0.14 percent. Its effect will also be seen on the sentiment of Indian investors.
