While the BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 210 points at 58,199, NSE’s Nifty opened with a gain of 89 points at 17,405. Investors focused on buying from the beginning today and maintained the market’s edge. At 9.44 am, the Sensex was trading at 58,226 with a gain of 237 points, while the Nifty was up 73 points at 17,388.

Investors are placing bets here
Investors are betting a lot on the banking and metal sector in the market today. Due to this, the shares of Hindalco Industries, IOC, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and Tata Steel showed strong gains. On the contrary, the selling of shares of Bharti Airtel, Britannia Industries, Coal India, Cipla and Hero MotoCorp is showing a decline.
TCS buyback offer ends today
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) buyback offer ends today. The company had offered to buy back the shares from the investors at a higher price of Rs 1,000. It will start on March 9 and will close at 5 pm today. During this, the company can buy back shares worth about 18 thousand crores from its investors.

Asian markets also saw a rise
Most of the stock markets of Asia have opened with gains on Thursday morning. There is a jump of 0.36 percent on the stock exchange of Singapore, while there is a rise of 2.74 percent on the Japanese exchange. Apart from this, there was a jump of 0.82 percent in Hong Kong’s stock market and 0.76 percent in Taiwan. The South Korea Stock Exchange is up 0.83 percent and China’s Shanghai Composite is up 0.07 percent.
