C. Vanmati was born in a poor family of Kerala. His father was a cab driver. He used to run the household expenses by driving a cab. It was not possible to even think of clearing UPSC under those circumstances. But Vanmati’s dedication and hard work made her reach this point.

Buffaloes grazing, rebellion against marriage
In childhood, apart from going to school, Vanmati had to help in household chores as well. She even used to take buffaloes to the forest for grazing and then feed them. After doing 12th, relatives put pressure on her to marry, so she refused to marry to fulfill her dream of becoming an IAS and struggled against relatives and society to fulfill her dream. . His family supported him in this struggle.

District Collector and TV serial inspired
Vanamati was first inspired by a woman district collector of her home town to become an IS. She was very impressed by the way everyone respected her. Apart from this, a serial named Ganga Yamuna Sarvati used to come on TV, whose main heroine was a female IAS officer. Inspired by these two people, Vanmati decided to become an IAS officer.

Job in private bank, then became IAS
Vanmati did PG in Computer Application after completing her graduation. He also worked in a private bank for some time for the expenses of his studies. After this, in the year 2015, she appeared in the UPSC examination. Her hard work paid off and she managed to become an IAS with 152nd All India Rank. Currently, Vanmati is working as an IAS officer. She gives full credit of her success to her family.
